I have always been interested in the Victorian ‘Language of Flowers’ and their therapeutic effects, not just for healing but also for the research into the psychological benefits of flowers. We often use herbs (such as rosemary for Remembrance) or blooms with special meanings, which clients tell us makes them extra special.
In fact, we love feedback, especially about funeral or tribute flowers. It is a difficult time for families, so when customers take the time to write to about the extra touches we put into our work – that is really special. This year a recurring phrase was ‘they would have loved them’. We take pride in getting to know our customers and hearing stories about their loved one’s passion for flowers or gardening – it makes all the soggy days, muddy boots, aching backs, mucky fingers, and lost trowels absolutely worth it! A privilege actually.
We offer a range of styles for funeral flowers, using only sustainable bases (no floral foam) such as wreaths and full casket toppers. Our popular casket spray or sheaf, is similar to a very large flat-back bouquet at over 75cm long and can be split into separate posies for the family to share.
As a guide, our prices start from £55 for a wreath, £120 for a casket spray, and from £180 for a full casket topper. We do require payment when ordering, but we can provide an invoice to the estate and executors as needed. We also offer fully compostable designs, suitable for natural burials that are ‘cattle-safe’. We only use British grown flowers in our funeral arrangements. We can incorporate foliage and flowers from your loved ones’ garden for a truly personal tribute.
